The RMS Buchholz is arrested in the inner port of Brunsbüttel
since Jan 13, 2012.
The police found the ship overloaded by 40 tons asphalt granulate when it came from Eemshaven. As there is only little ballast water on board and the ship had to bunker 30 tons fuel in Brunsbüttel, 40 tons of the cargo will have to be unloaded before the ship may sail on to Latvia.
As the cargo is classified as waste, this must be approved by the local authorities which has not yet been done until Jan 16.
