The 1999 built Damen ASD 3110 Smit Ahoada (Imo 9178991)
is seen in the Antwerp drydock at the URS yard.
The tug will be transferred to Smit Towage North West Europe; Belgium.
She will be reflagged to Belgium and renamed in Smit Belgie.
The tug was lately operate for Targe Towing Ltd on London’s river Thames for approximately 15 months.
The ASD tug has a length of 30.82 mtrs a beam of 10.20 and a draft
of 4.80 mtrs. The two 6 cylinder Caterpillar type 3516B TA main engine
delivers a total output of 4,200 hp with a bollard pull of 53 tons
and a speed of 12.7 knots.
The ASD 3110 terminal tug is originally built as part of a batch of four tugs for use in West Africa. She has a grt of 305 tons and a dwt of 223 tons.
