In the morning of the 12th Juli a new face was seen in the
Port of Harlingen; Netherlands with the arrival of the 1970 built
tug World Tug 1 (7000724).
The tug is as from the 1st June managed by Hakvoort Sea Transport, Urk
The tug is built on the Astilleros Ardeag SL - Erandi-Bilbao; Spain
under number 049 for Naveira Letasa SA – Bilboa; Spain
as Iñigo Lopez Tapia.
In 1975 sold to Remolques, Aguadas y Salvamentos SA – Aviles; Spain.
In 1978 renamed Raices.
In 1991 sold to Remolcadores de Vizcaya SA; Spain.
In 2005 sold to Remolques y Servicios Maritimos SL; Spain
In 2011 renamed Edurne.
In the same year 2011 sold to Maritima Mendexa SA –Bilbao; Spain
and renamed Mendexa.
She has a length of 31.15 mtrs a beam of 8.34 mtrs
and a depth of 4.40 mtrs.
The Deutz diesel engine delivers 1,800 bhp and a speed of 11.8 knots.
Her grt is 223 tons.
