On Mar 26, 2013, the "BBS Sand" ran aground enroute Koge-Berwick
around 2 p.m. as it was attempting to enter Tweed Dock in the afternoon.
The grounding happened as the vessel made ist way up the Tweed estuary.
The dock’s pilot boat helped the vessel back into deeper water before it berthed safely. The ship was carrying a load of malting barley. The tide and strong wind contributed to the ship running aground for a short time. The ship was in Tweed Dock by 3.25 p.m.
