On Dec 29, 2011, at 11 p.m. the "Nordic Erika" ran into the embankment of the Kiel Canal near the ferry pt. Burg.
The ship on its way from Gdynia to Cork, ETA Jan 2, 2012, had sailed from the Bominflot bunker station in Kiel at 5 p.m.
The tug "Bugsier 15" was called to refloat the vessel. It was then pulled to Brunsbuettel where it was berthed on Dec 30 at 00.45 a.m.
