On Nov 25, 2013, at 4 a.m. the "Fri Wave" ran aground
off Sölvesborg. None of the six crew members have been injured.
The Swedish coastguard vessel "KBV 003" was on scene at 6 a.m.
and sent divers down to survey the hull. The ship has suffered
leaks in the two water ballast tanks. The fuel tanks were
containing 52 cubic meters of fuel.
No oil spill has been observed yet.
The vessel was heading from Dunkerque to Sölvesborg with a cargo
of limestone. Captain and First Mate had to pass breathalyzer test,
and both have been tested positive and were brought ashore and
handed over to the police in Blekinge. Representatives of
the Swedish Transport Agency were heading to the scene.
