In the morning of Dec 19, 2013, the "Pitztal" allided
with a gate of the small southern lock of the Kiel Canal
in Brunsbüttel.
The ship hit it when entering the lock around 8 a.m. enroute
from Rotterdam to St. Petersburg.
Both ship and gate were slightly damaged.
The "Pitztal" was allowed to continue its voyage to Kiel where
the bow damage is to be examined by experts. | Vesseltracker
