Dronken kapitein moest schip verlaten

On Oct 9, 2014, police officers remarked a smell of alcohol when entering the wheelhouse of the "Lelie" in the northern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel.

A breathalyzer test of the 38-year old master showed an alcohol level 1,2 per thousand.

He had to pay a safety fine. The ship was ordered to berth at the South Quay in Brunsbüttel around 10 a.m. At 4 p.m. the vessel was allowed to continue its voyage from Bristol to Stockvik after a new captain was on board. | Bron Vesseltracker.com
