Enroute from Rouen, where she had sailed on Dec 17, to Nador
the "Abis Cardiff" reported engine trouble to the CROSS Jobourg,
on Dec 18, 2014, at 3 p.m.
The vessel was drifting 18 nm north of the Cap de la Hague in the
English Channel.
The owner contracted the "Abeille Liberte" (IMO; 9308699) to assist.
In the evening the ship was taken under tow despite bad weather.
The convoy arrived off Cherbourg at 4:10 a.m. in the morning of Dec 19,
supported by the port tugs "Sirocco" and "Saire" of theCherbourg naval base.
