Enroute from Ust-Luga to Ijmuiden the "Egelantiersgracht" suffered an engine failure on Feb 19, 2015, in the Kiel Canal at Breiholz due to a failure in the cooling waer system.
The ship was tied up to dolphins at the passing point, and from Brunsbüttel the tugs "Bugsier 15" and "Bugsier 18" were dispatched
at 10 a.m.
While they were still underway, they were notified that the crew of the cargo vessel had been able to fix the damage and resume the voyage, so they turned around at Kudensee.
The "Egelantiersgracht" reached the Brunsbüttel locks with own means at 1.30 p.m. and has an ETA at Ijmuiden of Jan 20 at noon now.
