On June 24, 2015, at 8.37 a.m. the "North Star" ran aground at the south coast of the island of Bozcaada enroute from Saraylar
on Marmara Island, where she had sailed on June 23,
to Stavros with a cargo of marble.
The lifeboat "Kıyı Emniyeti 9" was dispatched to the scene,
but the ship was trying to get off with own means.
