The "Haidar" capsized alongside the pier Vila do Conde, Barcarena
in the morning of Oct 6, 2015, leaving cattle stranded on top of the overturned hull.
About 5,000 animals were onboard the ship at the time of the sinking, which happened within two hours after the vessel tilted at 7 a.m.
The vessel developed a list to port, and the crew was evacuated before the ship turned over.
