Allision in Brunsbüttel
On Oct 7, 2017, at 1:40 p.m. the 'Nordborg' allided with several wooden pilings in the foreport of the old lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel, thereby heavily damaging them
The accident was reported during the stay in the lock, before the vessel berthed at the western railway station pilings in the canal port of Brunsbüttel
It was allowed to continue the voage from Terneuzen to Szczecin at 11.30 p.m.
and entered the Baltic Sea in Kiel on Oct 8 at 8.20 a.m.
Boats of the Schramm company were called to recover the debris from the water
