Het cruiseschip 'Oosterdam' heeft zaterdagochtend 4 mei 2019 bij het aanmeren in de haven van Vancouver in Canada het cruiseschip 'Nieuw Amsterdam' geraakt
Laatstgenoemd schip lag bij het incident reeds aan de kade
Beide schepen van Holland America Line zouden met het achtersteven
naast elkaar komen te liggen
Volgens de rederij zijn er geen gewonden gevallen
De ontscheping van beide schepen kon gewoon volgens planning plaatsvinden
De schade aan de 'Oosterdam' is minimaal
Op de 'Nieuw Amsterdam' dienen 6 balkonhutten te worden gerepareerd

The 'Oosterdam' allided with the docked 'Nieuw Amsterdam' near Canada Place in Vancouver on the morning of May 4, 2019, around 6:30 a.m. when the "Oosterdam"
was approachiong its berth
No one was injured and the ships sustained minor damag
Passengers felt a jolt and heard loud scraping
Then the captain of the 'Nieuw Amsterdam' came on the speaker and he said
'Evacuate the stern of the ship'
The 'Oosterdam' hit the starboard side of her ship and came to a stop against the dock
No injuries or pollution were reported
Transport Canada worked with the cruise line, Holland America, to assess the damage
Six aft stateroom verandas on the 'Nieuw Amsterdam' were damaged in the incident,
but the seaworthiness of the ships has not been affected
All the repairs required were above the waterline, and both cruises would embark on schedule
The 'Nieuw Amsterdam' was due to departi on a seven day cruise to Alaska on May 4,
and the "Oosterdam" will be headed to Seattle - bron Vesseltracker.com
