Grounding off Skye
The 'Kaami' ran aground on March 23, 2020, at 1.50 a.m.
about six miles north-west of Skye in pos. 57° 47.40' N 006° 28.13' W
The sox Russian crew members were rescued by the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter
The RNLI boat from Portree, the Coastguard tug 'Ievoli Black' and the
Northern Lighthouse Board vessel 'Pharos' which was in the area also went to the scene
The crew members were flown to Stornoway on Lewis and were safe and well
The weather conditions were challenging with high seas at the time of the rescue
The 'Kaami' was enrotue from Belfast to Slite at the time of the accident
